CHART OF THE WEEK
Tebra surveyed 1,002 Americans to explore their trust in online platforms over consulting a doctor’s perspective when seeking health advice. Our findings? Many patients, especially younger generations, rely on online platforms and social media for medical advice instead of consulting healthcare professionals directly. The good news is that most people (but unfortunately, not all, as evidenced by the graph above) still tend to trust doctors over online advice when it comes to acting on medical information.
Consider adapting your practice to cater to these evolving patient behaviors by maintaining an active online presence, providing reliable health information through digital channels, and implementing technologies like telehealth to meet the demand for convenient access to medical expertise.
