Darryl is a native of Savannah, GA with over thirty years of healthcare experience, beginning as an Army Combat Medical Specialist in the mid-eighties, continuing as an Army Practical Nurse in 1992 and completing the Medical College of Georgia’s PA program in 2001.
Darryl’s specialties include: Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Field Medicine, General Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine and Trauma.
He is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm with duty as a front-line medic in a Combat Engineer Battalion. He served with the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Hood, TX with deployment to the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan in 2008 and III Corps Battalion PA, Al Faw Palace, Camp Victory, Baghdad, Iraq in 2010.
A happily married father of 3, Darryl loves the Lord, enjoys time with family and occasionally gets behind a drum set for fun.
He is the architect of Urgent Care & Family Medicine Conway, LLC and currently operates with his administrator spouse and supervising physician.

He has a wide variety of training, education and medical experience which makes him the ideal person to treat urgent and emergent medical conditions. He has worked in hospital emergency departments, ICUs, and interventional radiology suites. He also has extensive prehospital EMS experience caring for the critically ill and injured on helicopters and working as a paramedic on ambulances. He also has a military and firefighter background which allows him to treat you with great respect and professionalism as he gets you feeling better.
Wylie Walk In Urgent Care provides fast and convenient medical care to adults and children. Located in Wylie, Texas, the team sees patients from Sachse, St. Paul, Lavon, Nevada, Copeville, and Josephine, Texas. Dr. Torres has been practicing as a General Practitioner for 20+ years. Graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelors of Science and a Masters in Medical Technology. Received his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma of Guadalajara, MX. Continued a Fifth Pathway Program through New York Medical College which allowed him to rotate through Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ, Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, Saint Rachael’s Hospital in New Haven, CT, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, University Hospital in Louisville, KY, and Tulane Hospital in New Orleans, LA. He then did a year internship at Hospital Auxilio Mutuo in Puerto Rico, later completing a transitional year Residency Program through University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Though active listening and thoughtful questioning, Dr. Torres has been able to deliver the high quality care that every patient deserves by utilizing the most recent advancements in medicine, thus founding CMS in 2016.
