He completed training in general surgery and successfully performed the duties of chief resident in surgery at the Nassau University Medical Center, affiliated with the Health Sciences Center of Stony Brook University, where he was also awarded a fellowship in burn surgery within the plastic surgery division.
Dr. Martinez is licensed to practice in the states of Texas and New York, and he is board certified by the American Association of Physician Specialists. His hospital affiliations include the Brazoria County Surgery Center, CHI St. Luke's Health–Brazosport Hospital, and UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus.
