Dr. Carl Williams was born in Gary Indiana and has been practicing medicine in Las Vegas for over thirty years and has made it a priority to make care, understanding, and validation the heart of his practice. He received his Medical Doctorate at the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed residencies and fellowships at Wayne State in Detroit, the University of Illinois, Chicago and Rush Presbyterian. He served an additional residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Illinois School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center. Dr. Williams is a skilled hand surgeon with his own private practice – Carl N. Williams, Jr. M.D. Hand and Plastic Surgery – in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was the first African American Plastic Surgery Resident in Chicago and the first African American Plastic Surgeon in the state of Nevada. He brought the first laser center to Las Vegas and introduced a multitude of lasers and their functionality to this area.

Dr. Carl Williams is triple board certified in plastic surgery, surgery of the hand and otolaryngology. He has served on the board of directors of many different hospitals as both a leader of surgery and advanced wound healing. He was a member of the plastic surgery faculty for two years in Chicago at the University of Illinois and continues to pass on his knowledge today by continuing as a clinical educator for both the UNLV School of Medicine and Touro University.

Dr. Williams holds active memberships in many professional organizations including the AMA, ASPS, ASSH, and ASA. He has also contributed, as a reconstructive plastic surgeon, much needed assistance to victims of domestic violence. Dr. Williams also established the hand surgery department at UMC hospital and continues to take hand trauma call for four Las Vegas hospitals today.

Dr. Williams currently serves as an associate professor at the Nevada School of Medicine and the Toro School of Medicine, sharing his treatment philosophy and emphasizing the importance of personalized patient experiences.

Dr. Lopez-Canino earned his medical degree and completed his residency in General Surgery in Cuba. He was then appointed as an Attending Surgeon at his alma mater, and later he relocated as a Consultant Surgeon at Edendale Hospital in Natal, South Africa. After two years in South Africa he made his way to the United States. He finished his internship in General Surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, and completed his residency in General Surgery at University of South Florida College of Medicine, Tampa, FL. Afterward he joined ABC Surgical Associates in Belleville, NJ; where he practiced for five years. In 2015 he relocated to Miami, FL; where he has been establishing his General Surgery private practice. Dr. Azuaje grew up in Venezuela where he attended Universidad Centroccidental in Barquisimeto, and completed a combined Undergraduate and Medical School Program and earned his Medical Degree in 1995. His post-graduate surgical training included an internship and residency in General Surgery at Indiana University, Indianapolis, IN, where he was a Chief Resident in 2003-2004. Paul Gill, M.D., grew up in Cypress, Texas and graduated from Jersey Village High School. Dr. Gill completed his residency in Neurology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he was chief resident in his last year. After graduating, he went on to serve as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and established the university’s first satellite clinic in Edmond, OK which was an innovative and groundbreaking approach to the university’s ability to offer care to a broader segment of the population.
