Dr. Eidt was deployed several times through his Army career. Notably he spent a year on the 38th parallel at the DMZ in South Korea. He was deployed in combat and assigned to the 173rd Airborne Division at a forward operating base with the 2nd FST (a forward surgical team) in Afghanistan, as well as assignments to hospitals in Kandahar and Bagram. Because of his excellent care of both military and civilian casualties under combat conditions in Afghanistan, Dr. Eidt was awarded the Bronze Star.

Dr. Vishal Thakral is double board certified in Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Johns Hopkins Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation trained. Dr. Thakral is Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Western University of Health Sciences. His primary focus is non-operative orthopedics utilizing musculoskeletal ultrasound guided procedures to perform state-of-the-art treatments such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Prolotherapy, and Regenerative Medicine. Many musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries are often treated by methods such as physical/chiropractic therapy, cortisone injections or even surgery, however regenerative injections can help repair many injuries to the joints and spine. Jonathan H. Koenig, MD, is a Board Certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon at Los Angeles Pediatric Orthopaedics serving the Brentwood community on the Westside of Los Angeles. Though Dr. Koenig specializes in treating children and young adults, he’s happy to help any patient who still feels young at heart.
Growing up on Long Island in the suburbs of New York City, Dr. Koenig was a tri-sport athlete who went on to play varsity lacrosse at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. He graduated from Yale with a degree in the history of science and medicine. He then returned to New York City to earn his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx.
Dr. Koenig completed a five-year orthopaedic surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan's Upper East Side — home of America’s first official sports medicine department. His training included rotations at world-leading institutions like Boston Children’s Hospital, R Adams Crowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Dr. Koenig served as chief resident during his final year and completed a traveling fellowship at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
Leaving New York City for sunny Southern California, Dr. Koenig finished a one-year fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis surgery at the world-renowned Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. He’s honored to bring his wealth of knowledge and extensive experience to the Westside of Los Angeles, where he resides with his wife, Dani - a native Angeleno. They enjoy spending time with their young daughter - Harlow, newborn son - Hudson, as well as their furst born - Woody, a golden retriever.
As a former athlete and orthopaedic patient himself, Dr. Koenig has a personal understanding of all aspects of the care he provides. From sports-related injuries like ACL tears or patella dislocations as well as broken bones or limb deformities and joint pains, he makes sure that every patient receives prompt, highly individualized treatment. He’s also happy to provide emergency care for traumatic injuries as they arise.
