Rebecca attended Marquette University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech-Language Pathology. Rebecca recently graduated with her Masters degree in August of 2024, and loves working with children to help promote their speech and language! Rebecca grew up in Algonquin and is excited to be back in the Northwest suburbs after living in Milwaukee for the past five years. Rebecca initially became interested in speech therapy from her mom, who is a school-based speech-language pathologist, and helped create Rebecca's passion in working with pediatrics!
Her areas of interest/experience during graduate school include ASD, social pragmatic language, cognitive communication disorders, dysphagia, and early language development in ages birth - 3 years of age. Although a majority of Rebecca's experiences have been with pediatrics, she also has experience working in acute care, inpatient rehab, and within an adult outpatient clinic. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys going to sporting events (Go Cubs!), working out, trying new coffee shops, and visiting friends in the city. Rebecca is very passionate about working with her clients here at Pediatric POST, and strives to promote functional, play-based intervention during her sessions that best support her client's needs.
