Sean J. Wollaston, MD, is a board-certified rheumatologist at Rheumatology Associates in North Hollywood, California.

Dr. Wollaston completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Before moving to Los Angeles, he earned his medical degree with honors at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, to fulfill his internal medicine residency at the University of California in Los Angeles. 

Following his residency at UCLA, Dr. Wollaston completed a rheumatology fellowship where he was the recipient of the American College of Rheumatology Clinical Investigator Award.

Before joining the team at Rheumatology Associates, Dr. Wollaston served as a clinical instructor of medicine and an assistant clinical professor for three years at UCLA. Wonil Lee, MD, has been practicing rheumatology as a board-certified rheumatologist since joining Rheumatology Associates in 2000. He works closely with patients at the North Hollywood, California, location, offering comprehensive rheumatology services.

Monica Schwartzman, MD, MS, is a double board-certified rheumatologist and internal medicine specialist who brings her extensive experience to the practice of Sergio Schwartzman, MD. She provides rheumatology and internal medicine/primary care for patients.

Dr. Schwartzman attended Cornell University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in History. After graduating, she attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She was accepted through Mount Sinai’s Humanities and Medicine program, a program that seeks to train doctors with a humanistic focus and patient-centered approach to patient care. Upon graduation, she received an award for distinction in research.

She completed her internal medicine internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She then completed a rheumatology fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where she treated patients with a variety of rheumatology conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, inflammatory bowel disease-associated arthritis, gout, pseudogout, osteoarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, myositis, among others and served on the rheumatology consultation service at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College.

She is an Assistant Attending Physician at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Clinical Instructor in Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr Elham Taherian has been practicing Rheumatology since 2011. Dr Taherian did her internal medicine training at University of Nevada School of Medicine, where she was also elected and served as chief resident. After residency, she completed a fellowship program in Rheumatology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduation, she returned to Las Vegas and worked as a faculty at the University of Nevada School of Medicine for 2 years. She then joined Dignity Health Medical Group's multi-specialty clinic where she practiced from 2014 until July 2024.

As a Rheumatologist, I diagnose and treat autoimmune conditions such as; Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Myositis, Vasculitis, Scleroderma, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Giant cell Arteritis as well as Gout and osteoporosis.  Additionally, I perform joint aspiration and joint injections.

I have designed the Palm Beach Rheumatology and Wellness Center to provide personalized care and spend much-needed time with my patients. I created this practice to better understand and connect with my patients and their rheumatology needs. I aim to offer comprehensive and compassionate care because every person is unique and deserves an individualized treatment plan. I believe in delivering compassionate care while providing my patients with the most advanced treatments. ​I also want to give each patient the time and resources they require to achieve his/her health goals. ​​I continually strive to educate my patients on their condition, treatment choices, and generalized well-being to overcome disease and restore life quality. I believe well-informed patients are better prepared to make decisions about their health. I strongly feel listening to patients, encouraging them to ask questions, and including them in the decision-making process empowers them in their wellness journey.

I do my best to treat patients as individuals and modify treatment to their needs to improve quality of life. I have many years experience and over 20 years Board Certification in Rheumatology and Internal medicine. I focus on Rheumatology/Arthritis illness and do some Internal medicine as well as addiction medicine with a Suboxone treatment program.
