I was a little surprised that he went through our entire intake questionnaire with us, despite having sent an initial report based off of it, but appreciated his thoroughness and willingness not to rush us. He spent over an hour on the consult. He also was unwilling to jump to conclusions about our diagnosis, and asked for multiple additional tests, further demonstrating his commitment to careful, individualized care. ”

Hello! I am Nidhee Sachdev, MD, a double board-certified and fellowship-trained reproductive endocrinologist and infertility expert.
I have had the opportunity to train at some of the most prestigious and diverse medical programs in the country, including fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the New York University (NYU) Langone Fertility Center in New York City, where I conducted research on preimplantation genetic screening (PGS). I also trained at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where I earned the academic distinction of academic chief resident in obstetrics and gynecology, and worked under a top expert in recurrent pregnancy loss.
I am passionate about providing individualized, collaborative patient care. I started my medical career here in Orange County, where I earned my Doctor of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. I also completed my Bachelor of Science in human biology at the University of California, San Diego.
My research has been published in numerous respected publications, and I have received multiple teaching awards. I have also presented my research across the country. I am board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After traveling across the country in recent years, I am thrilled to be back in Southern California, advocating for reproductive health and successful family building journeys for my patients. I see patients at OC Fertility® in Newport Beach, California, where I am a trusted expert in all areas of fertility. I have a particular interest in preservation, such as egg, sperm, and embryo freezing, as well as how genetics play a role with in vitro fertilization (IVF) and patients with recurrent pregnancy loss.
I have been featured in the media, providing expert commentary and family building education. I hope to help you get the information you need to make the right decisions for your individual needs.
I am Dr. Sharon Moayeri, MD, MPH, MS, FACOG, an expert fertility specialist and gynecologist with nearly 20 years of experience. As the founder and medical director of OC Fertility® and OC Biogenix® in Newport Beach, California, I am double-board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).
Remaining close to my hometown at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), I graduated with a double major in Biological Science and Cognitive Science, before continuing my education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where I obtained my Master’s degree in Public Health with a specialization in health policy, focusing on public health program development, implementation, and assessment.
Discovering my passion for working one-on-one with patients in a clinical setting, I returned home to Orange County at UCI School of Medicine to pursue my Medical Degree. I also completed an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology, serving as administrative Chief Resident.
Shortly after returning to Newport Beach in 2009, I established my private medical practice, OC Fertility®. It represents the realization of my vision to offer personalized, patient-centered, and contemporary fertility care. All treatments incorporate the latest technologies, while ensuring a strong emphasis on our patient’s experience, creating a supportive and safe environment to collaborate with patients in achieving their family-building goals.
In 2021, after nearly a decade of experience as a co-founder, partner, and Medical Director at a startup IVF Laboratory, I decided to embark on my own venture and launch OC Biogenix, an on-site IVF laboratory and surgery suite. Bringing together the OC Fertility + OC Biogenix team ensures that I can provide the expertise and cutting-edge technology to exceed our already impressive success rates, while seamlessly supporting our patients’ experience in a trauma-informed space.
As a small business owner dedicated to women’s health, I have a passion for staying connected with my hometown community and sharing my expertise in areas related to my professional interests: cancer and fertility; egg and embryo fertility preservation; genetics; embryo testing; donor egg or sperm; and surrogacy. As a leader, I am frequently called upon to educate other professionals on how to best support patients' reproductive choices, both for now and in their future. Additionally, I take pride in mentoring and encouraging the next generation of women entering STEM fields, leading by example.
Some of my contributions to medical literature include publications on:
"I feel fortunate to be doing what I do - sharing the gift of family," says Dr. Moayeri. "I've always had a love for science and technology; and every day, I have the privilege to support and educate the community, colleagues, and my patients in understanding reproductive options and realizing their dreams of growing families, together."
I am a proud member of multiple organizations, including:
