About Dr. Yashar
Dr. Yashar is a fellowship-trained Board-Certified Neurosurgeon, specializing in outpatient spine surgery as well as cranial and endovascular procedures. He has performed countless spine operations, including those involving challenging degenerative spinal conditions, spine tumors, and complex spinal trauma.
Dr. Yashar treats every patient as a whole patient, rather than only focusing on their symptoms or condition alone. Dr. Yashar is thorough with each and every patient as he believes each patient is the center of their care team–he discusses their conditions with them and reviews their images together, inviting them to participate in their health care decision.
>Dr. Yashar believes in treating patients first with conservative, nonsurgical therapies first, as a majority of patients do not require surgical intervention. Should surgery become necessary, he offers the safest, most effective, and least invasive approach. Dr. Yashar is passionate about minimally-invasive spine surgery and motion preservation (Artificial Disc Replacement surgery, Minimally-Invasive Lumbar laminectomy surgery) as these allow patients the opportunity to return to their level of performance expeditiously. He provides personalized attention to each and every patient and welcomes questions and discussion about each of the treatment options.

Richard M. Young, MD, is a highly trained neurosurgeon with the team at Inland Neurosurgery Institute (INI) in Pomona and Arcadia, California.
Dr. Young was born in Taiwan and came to the United States at an early age. His grandmother always predicted that he would be a doctor. Since the age of 3, he would hold her head when she had a migraine and would say, “When I get older, I will take care of you.”
Excelling in science and math, he went to college as an electrical engineering major at UC San Diego. However, his calling into medicine resulted in him graduating cum laude in biochemistry and cell biology. He continued his journey into medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, where he discovered his passion for neurosurgery.
This passion derived from a pivotal case during medical school, where a patient was in a coma from a ruptured brain aneurysm. That same patient recovered weeks later from the brain bleed and surgery. “To have the ability to save a person’s life…that’s what I want to do.”
He completed his neurosurgical training at The George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, DC. During his training, he also spent a year as a research fellow at the National Institute of Health (NIH) – NINDS – Medical Division. After completing his residency at GWU, he came back to the west coast to UCLA for a two-year neurointerventional/neuroendovascular surgery CAST certified fellowship.
Not only has he written many articles, book chapters, poster presentations, and a journal cover for JNS-Spine, but he was also awarded the Bannister Award both for the fastest treatment time of removing a blood clot in the brain during his fellowship at UCLA.
“Everyone knows how important the brain is, and if damage occurs to the brain, it can be devastating to that person and their family. To me, I do not see a patient but rather another human being that I am trying to help get better, like my grandmother. The reason I joined the group of neurosurgeons at Inland Neurosurgery Institute is that my colleagues share the same vision for helping people.”
During his free time, Dr. Young enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, running, and swimming.

Bradley A. Jabour, M.D. is the founder and medical director of Smart Brain and Health. Dr. Jabour is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR), having completed neuroradiology fellowships both at USC and a second year at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) where he was an attending professor in neuroradiology.
Dr. Jabour initiated the use of functional MRI in the detection and management of various neuropsychiatric disorders such as Depression and OCD. His company Smart Brain and Health has pioneered the use of stereotactic neuronavigation techniques, usually used in neurosurgery, to more accurately target selected regions in the brain in order to more effectively target Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
Dr. Jabour has also founded multiple other affiliate companies such as Medical Imaging Center of Southern California, Smart Heart and Health, Women’s Imaging at Medical Imaging Center, and Directed Interventional Surgery Center (DISC).

Dawn Belden, MA, is a Clinical Certified Thermographer. She has a background in holistic education – bringing integrated curriculum to distance learning programs. She is also a learning styles consultant and has a strong foundation in individualized and personalized education. She has studied with Jean Houston and Thich Nhat Hanh, among others, and has co-lead teen retreats in Mindfulness and Awareness, affiliated with UCLA.
Dawn provides the best service possible to her clients. She feels that thermography gives people a way to actually see, through imagery, the efficacy of their bodies. When clients are able to see themselves in such a way they become effective and pro-active in monitoring and orchestrating their health; thermography empowers clients to be agents of change in a self-directed and supported way.
Dawn is passionate about alternative medicine and used it almost exclusively, to great result, with her daughter and son’s neurological and stomach issues. She feels that because of the pervasive toxicity in the environment resulting in the nearly epidemic numbers of cancer we must have ways to ameliorate and track the effects in our bodies.
Thermography is non- violating, non- invasive, and holistic. It gives an integrated view of the body by providing pictures of our own unique patterns – a blueprint of wholeness, reinforcing the fact that we are not made up of disconnected parts, but rather a weave of interacting neurological and physiological processes.
Ms. Belden encourages women, and the men whose lives they touch, to educate themselves about the option of breast thermography and make wise decisions after considering all the information available. Thermography is not a substitute for other medically necessary procedures which may be recommended by your doctor.
Dawn performs thermography with state of the art technology and all thermal reports are read by medical doctors who are board certified by the American College of Clinical Thermology. Her goal is to make breast thermography as common and vital as your annual pap test, as well as affordable. The first step to avoiding breast cancer is educating women and empowering them to make decisions based on sound holistic options.
To schedule an appointment for Thermography, please contact Dawn via email: [email protected] or phone 805-560-7602, 310-871-5647. Thank you!

Dr. Caroline Moss is an expert physician who has experience and training from centers across the United States. She specializes in breast and women’s radiology. She has been practicing breast imaging since 1991 and specializes in mammography, ultrasonography and both ultrasound guided and stereotactic biopsies. Dr. Moss is also trained in 3D Breast Tomosynthesis, the newest breast imaging technology. She especially enjoys the patient contact at SonoBreasts, since many areas of radiology don’t offer patient interaction. Prior to coming to SonoBreasts, she worked in offices that cared for women in underserved populations and still does so a few times a week. She is excited to be part of our expanding breast center and we are happy to have her as a member of SonoBreasts where she counsels patients on mammogram and ultrasound findings as well as helps provide pinpoint accuracy to allow for cancer removal and diagnosis.
Dr. Moss is a native Californian. She trained in radiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and UCLA. She completed her CT/US/MRI fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, and also has special training in nuclear medicine.
