His interest and skills include, in addition to complex coronary interventions, the treatment of carotid artery disease, renal and lower extremity arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, and venous disease, which includes early intervention for deep venous thrombosis (DVT) as well as ablation of varicose veins and spider veins (therapeutic and cosmetic) and stenting of deep veins.
Dr. Hernandez has been an investigator in numerous clinical trials of new therapies for coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease. He currently serves as a proctor physician nationally and internationally for the most complex vascular procedures meant to save limbs from amputation. He has also published articles in esteemed medical journals and written chapters on these topics.

Oscar Sosa, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologist specializing in vascular and interventional radiology. With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Sosa is the medical director of Vascular & Interventional Specialists in Miami, Florida.
He received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 1995 and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center in 1999. Following his residency, Dr. Sosa returned to Miami to pursue fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital.
After completing his fellowship in 2000, Dr. Sosa joined Miami Radiology Associates, PA, at Cedars Medical Center as a diagnostic and interventional radiologist. In 2002, he joined Diagnostic Imaging Associates, LLC, at Baptist Health Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables, where he worked for seven years in a similar role.

Kush Shah, MD, MBA, is a skilled radiologist at Vascular & Interventional Specialists in Miami, Florida. Dr. Shah joined the team in 2020.
A graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2014, Dr. Shah completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in diagnostic radiology, followed by a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital from 2015-2020.

Osmany DeAngelo, DO, is a fellowship-trained endovascular surgeon at Vascular & Interventional Specialists in Miami, Florida. His area of expertise is in peripheral arterial disease (PAD) with extensive experience in endovascular revascularization and limb salvage. He also has extensive experience in dialysis access management.
Dr. DeAngelo received his Doctor of Osteopathy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center-College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1999. He was fellowship-trained in interventional radiology with a special emphasis in endovascular surgical procedures at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital.
