She completed an internship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, and a radiation oncology residency at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where she served as Chief Resident. She went on to receive specialized training in radiosurgery at the University of California in San Francisco. Then, she served for eight years as the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at the Nevada Cancer Institute in Summerlin, Nevada.
Dr. Pomerantz has received multiple academic scholarships and authored numerous publications and a book chapter on the use of radiation in the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas.
