He’s the medical director and founding physician of St. Francis Sleep, Allergy & Lung Institute in Clearwater, Florida. With over 30 years of experience in medicine, he’s taken quality care of his patients at his practice and local hospitals, while also working the forefront of medicine as an avid researcher. Dr. Averill earned board certifications in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care, and sleep medicine.
Dr. Averill graduated from New York Medical College and then completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He also completed specialty fellowship trainings in pulmonary, critical care, allergies & immunology at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
In addition, he’s an attorney and member of the Florida Bar with a Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University School of Law. Dr. Averill offers services for attorneys regarding expert witness and medical-legal consultations.

Michael N. Newton MD is a pulmonologist and a sleep disorder specialist serving the community of Tampa, Florida.
