Nancy graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina where she also earned Master Degrees in Social Work and Public Administration. In addition to her certification in behavioral sleep medicine (CBSM), Dr. Bartolucci qualified as a Diplomate in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (DBSM). Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in psychology and mathematics from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, and a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.
Dr. Bartolucci completed her predoctoral internship at the Central Arkansas Veterans’ Health Administration in Little Rock, Arkansas, and earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Georgia. She began her career at a specialized sleep disorders center and is an adjunct faculty volunteer for the Emory Sleep Medicine Fellowship program.
Over the years, Dr. Bartolucci has gained considerable experience in diagnosing and treating numerous sleep disorders, including insomnia and nightmares, and has worked with a diverse range of patients. She also helps people with mental health problems like depression and anxiety that often affect patients’ ability to sleep.
Dr. Bartolucci is an expert in cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) and trains other psychologists in this treatment. She is a member of the Society for Behavioral Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

I provide in-person and Telehealth options for treatment and I am licensed to provide Telehealth services to individuals in Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
My educational background includes an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, a Master’s degree in Counseling from Georgia State University, and a Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami. My clinical training is wide and varied, with clinical experiences in treatment of addictions, community mental health, traumatic brain injury treatment, group therapy, health psychology, neuropsychology, and behavioral health. I completed my Fellowship in behavioral sleep treatment here at Atlanta Insomnia and Behavioral Health Services under the tutelage and mentorship of Dr. Bartolucci.
I am an active member of several professional societies, such as the American Psychological Association, the Georgia Psychological Association, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the National Alliance of Psychology Providers.
In addition to my clinical work, I enjoy public speaking engagements and media appearances where I can use my training and experience to help others better understand sleep and its importance to health. Before joining AIBHS, Dr. Katrina Speed trained with some of the biggest names in Behavioral Sleep Medicine including Dr. Michael Nadorff and Dr. Wilfred Pigeon. She is currently an affiliate with the Medical College of Georgia, the Veteran’s Health Administration, and the Center of Excellence for Suicide Prevention (where she has previously collaborated on clinical research surrounding connections between sleep and suicide risk). We are thrilled to have her as part of the team. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Society for Behavioral Sleep Medicine, and the National Register for Health Service Psychologists.
