Therapy can be a vulnerable and challenging process. I provide a supportive and compassionate presence throughout each session. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, or any other mental health concern, I am here to help guide you towards your unique goals.
My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that each client brings their own set of experiences, perspectives, and challenges to the therapeutic process. I believe that our childhood experiences shape out beliefs, behaviors, and relationships in profound ways. By creating a welcoming and non-judgmental space, I hope to empower my clients to explore and process their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
I believe that each person possesses an innate capacity for healing and self-awareness. Drawing from the principles of Internal Family Systems therapy, I work collaboratively with clients to explore the intricate dynamics of their internal worlds. By fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, I help clients access their inner resources, cultivate self-compassion, and navigate the complexities of their emotional landscapes.
I also draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop mindfulness skills, gain greater self-awareness, and move towards valued goals.
Finally, I incorporate Cognitive Processing Therapies to help clients reframe their thoughts, process traumatic experiences, and cultivate new perspectives on their lives. By addressing the cognitive distortions and negative beliefs that contribute to emotional distress, I empower clients to break free from patterns or ruminations and self-blame, fostering greater clarity, resilience, and emotional well-being.
I attended undergrad at James Madison University and obtained my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
