Dr. Urbanczyk is a clinical psychologist who has been licensed in the state of Ohio since 2014. A native of northeast Ohio and the daughter of Polish immigrants, she attended Harvard University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She went on to earn her master's degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver where she specialized in psychological assessment and psychodynamic theory. She completed her predoctoral internship and doctoral fellowship at Counseling and Consultation Service at The Ohio State University where she continued her career as the assessment coordinator and then assistant director of embedded services before joining Providers for Healthy Living.
Dr. Urbanczyk's professional interests include neuropsychology, psychological assessment, and working with university students.
Rokia Weatherspoon, EdS, is a school psychologist and psychometrician, who specializes in psychological testing here at Providers for Healthy Living under the direction/supervision of Louis Appiah-Kubi, PsyD. She has worked as a school psychologist for a local school district since 2015. She has experience with performing a variety of psychological testing batteries across the life span, but particularly enjoys working with children.
Dr. Louis Appiah-Kubi is a Clinical Psychologist with training to diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions as well as to conduct psychological testing. He received his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Wright State University’s School of Professional Psychology in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his internship at The Ohio State University’s Counseling and Consultation Service and his postdoctoral training here at Providers for Healthy Living. Dr. Appiah-Kubi has experience working with individuals of varying diversity variables in several settings. Since he's been with Providers for Healthy Living (August 2020), his main focus and specialty has been psychological assessment (ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disorders, and General Diagnostic Clarification). His style of therapy is integrative and values-based. Dr. Appiah-Kubi is licensed by the Ohio Board of Psychology. His license can be verified on this website: https://elicense.ohio.gov.
