Camela Barker, Ph.D., recently graduated with her doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in health psychology. Her clinical interests are in assisting adults who experience chronic pain/illnesses, trauma, and/or depression to develop or enhance strategies for coping and increasing their quality of life. She plans to continue to contribute to the body of scientific research related to health, health disparities, and psycho-social well-being and translating outcomes into evidence-based, culturally sensitive clinical interventions to meet the needs of those she serves.
Dr. Exum-Calhoun’s mission is to improve the lives of the families with whom she works. Truly embracing the notion that “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child” she seeks to work with all members of the “Village” who might be involved in supporting members of a family. She utilizes a variety of techniques to improve individual functioning and strengthen family relations. Treatment modalities such as cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution focused therapy and EMDR are used to help clients cope with a variety of clinical syndromes including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, disorders often experienced by children, and family problems. She also works with couples seeking to strengthen their relationships recognizing that the couple is the foundation of the family unit.
Deirdre is a Licensed Psychological Associate and Health Service Provider. She has over 15 years of experience as a licensed school psychologist. Deirdre is skilled at providing group and individual counseling for children and adolescents. Her approach to therapy encompasses several modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness therapy, and play-therapy. Deirdre has experience working to address a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, impulse control, anger management, social skills, and managing behaviors related to ADHD. Deirdre helps clients challenge maladaptive thoughts, develop resiliency and coping skills, and learn to incorporate and generalize skills into everyday life. Her background in school psychology has provided extensive experience in conducting psychological and psychoeducational testing for a variety of concerns.

Dr. Perkins has extensive experience in conducting psychological assessments as well as therapy. Colleagues and clients alike find her to be open, warm and genuine, with a sense of humor and contagious laugh. A flexible person-centered style is utilized in her therapy services and a practical, solution-focused approach when conducting evaluations. In addition to psychological assessments and therapy, Dr. Perkins is available to speak or consult on a number of psychological and mental health topics. She has particular interests in topics related to older adults, mood disorders, domestic violence, bariatric surgery, caregiver burnout, and most anything to do with mental health.
