I have lived in New York for many years after growing up in Chicago and California. After training in General Psychiatry, I pursued MBA training to learn about Organizational Behavior, Corporate Decision Making, and Group Dynamics. My interests include working with clients on multi-cultural issues, and I have experience helping people living with a wide variety of acute and chronic illnesses. My language skills include fluency in German and conversational French. I have expert training in both psychotherapy and medication management and can provide either or both depending on need. He is also a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a member of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, and a member of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians.

The stigma around mental health treatment can make initiation intimidating, because of this I offer a non judgmental and confidential space to get the treatment you need. As well I focus on the individual and not the diagnosis. Medication management cannot be performed properly if people are all treated the same. Services include medication management/review ,medical marijuana, and first time consultations to discuss a treatment plan. ADHD diagnosis/management is also provided. ADHD is often overlooked or under treated. My goal is to provide a personal experience where we work together for optimal care ensuring all needs are met. My style is warm, encouraging, and empowering collaborating with clients while tailoring my approach to each person’s unique needs. Together we will develop a comprehensive treatment plan that may involve medications psychotherapy or both. My career goals have been focused on the LGBTQ population working both as president of AGLP: The Association of LGBTQ Psychiatrists and Director of Psychiatry at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, one of the largest LGBTQ Medical Centers in the world. Mina Johnson is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a graduate of Columbia University Medical Center. She completed her Pediatrics residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NY and Neurology training at State University of New York after which she enrolled into a highly competitive combined neurological fellowship in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology (NCS/EMG/EP/EEG) at Columbia University New York-Presbyterian Hospital, NYC, one of the best Comprehensive Epilepsy Centers in the country.

Dr. Vikas Shetty obtained his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C.. He subsequently completed a medical internship at Northwell Health- North Shore- Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. Dr. Shetty then completed his neurology residency at the same institution, where he gained extensive experience in managing a wide range of neurological conditions. 

He was later awarded a fellowship in epilepsy at Northwell Health, focusing on advanced epilepsy care, including interpreting complex EEGs and managing refractory epilepsy cases. Dr. Shetty is board-certified in neurology and epilepsy by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His professional interests include epilepsy management and clinical neurophysiology.

Virginia Stringel MD, is a board-certified child neurologist practicing at Complete Neurological Care, where she sees patients in the Midtown and Broadway offices.  

Dr. Stringel earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and then completed a 5-year residency in child neurology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, affiliated with Northwell Health, in Queens, New York.
