Dr. Musa Akintayo is a Board-eligible psychiatrist with years of experience and expertise in the management of adults with mental health problems, with a focus on individuals in the underserved community. He began his medical career at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Nigeria, where he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Certificate (MBBS).
Before relocating to the United States, Dr. Akintayo practiced as a Medical Officer (General practitioner) in the underserved community in Nigeria, where he provided direct medical and psychiatric care for adults and children with mental health problems. This experience motivated him to move to the United States with the intention to continue to impact positively on the lives of people suffering from mental health disorders.
Dr. Akintayo completed his general psychiatry training at Harlem Hospital Center in Harlem, New York City, affiliated with the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
