He was formerly the medical director at Gateway Foundation for Addiction Services and a consulting psychiatrist in community psychiatry and formerly Medical Director at Silver Oaks Behavioral Health.
Here in the United States, Dr. Koko trained at the University of Illinois at Chicago and went on to study forensic psychiatry at University of Wisconsin. Dr. Koko was contracted by Wexford Resources to perform telepsychiatry for the Illinois State Prison System. Since then, he’s been in private practice, currently with admitting privileges at Silver Oaks Behavioral health and Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Nashwa Hasabout, MD received her medical degree from University of Szeged in Hungary. She did her training in psychiatry at Albany Medical College, Albany, NY, which has an excellent residency program devoted to training psychiatrist in psychotherapy treatment modalities that can be an effective tool used independently or in combination of psycho-pharmacological treatment to achieve emotional wellness. She completed her training in 2005 and she is board certified from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She held a position of assistant professor of psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry at Albany Medical College from 2005 until 2012 when she moved to Illinois to practice community psychiatry. Dr. Hasabou is interested in her patient’s day to day experience, their backgrounds, their families, communities and cultures which enhances her ability to be empathetic and effective physician. Her clinical focus areas are women’s mental health and psychopharmacology.
Nayyar Afroz, MD, is a board-certified child, adolescent and general psychiatrist who graduated from Dow Medical College in Pakistan. She moved to the US and finished her residency at the University of Illinois Chicago campus followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Chicago. She has been practicing for over 17 years in private, community, and public sector roles. She utilizes insight oriented, interpersonal mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral approaches. She is comfortable with general psychiatry: depression, anxiety disorders, women’s issues and complementary psychiatry.

I have worked in mental health for over 20 years. I am board certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I am Doris, a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I completed my Master of Science in Nursing degree at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. I have worked in the mental health field for the past 13 years in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings. I am committed to providing holistic and culturally competent individualized care that embodies the client's developmental and bio-psycho-social histories in my treatment approach. I have experience working with individuals ages 5 to 65 and older adults struggling with depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism and ADHD, eating disorders, trauma, behavior problems, and other co-occurring mental disorders. “The staff is very pleasant however the doctors need to listen. I told Dr Sonia Yballe that my son needed a refill on his meds & She went back and forth with me about him not needing it then. (His last refill was October 30 and we’re in her office on December 3rd. The script is a 30 day supply) Now he’s been getting into trouble at school. I’ve called the office 3 days in a row, 5 times a day and to this very moment he does not have his refill. Staff is waiting for her to send the script over🙄”
Debora Ellis is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who treats a broad range of mental illnesses in patients of all ages. Her areas of interest include personality disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, and addictions.
Dr. Ellis’ philosophy of patient care is based on establishing a collaborative, therapeutic relationship with the patient that is founded on effective communication and honesty. “I believe the roots of a patient’s current symptoms are often found in the past. In order to access the past you have to develop an honest and trusting therapeutic relationship with the patient in the present moment,” she says. “It is important, as a provider, to employ empathic listening and to involve the patient in decisions regarding their care.”
