Ashwin Gowda, MD is board certified in sleep medicine and psychiatry. He has been providing care to those in South Austin since 2002 and is currently the Medical Director of Texas Sleep Medicine. Carter Richards, MD, is an experienced neurologist with a calling to work with children. Through his practice at Texas Pediatric Specialties and Family Sleep Center, Dr. Richards is able to create meaningful change in the lives of families from in and around the Alamo Heights, Shavano Park, and Lockhill-Selma areas of San Antonio, Texas.
Education has always been a central part of Dr. Richards’ life. He first became interested in medicine while working as a dialysis patient care technician. He pursued his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri and remained there to finish his residency.
Dr. Richards is also board certified in neurology and holds special qualifications in pediatric neurology. While completing his training, Dr. Richards enjoyed sharing his knowledge through various instructor roles. He has also lectured trainees on numerous pediatric neurology topics.

Kelly Averill, MD, is a compassionate and dedicated pediatric epilepsy & neurology specialist at Texas Pediatric Specialties and Family Sleep Center in the Lockhill-Selma area of San Antonio, Texas.
