Assal is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in psychiatry with a diverse background working in a variety of clinical settings, including family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and urgent care. Assal graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Healthcare and Social Issues. She later received her Master’s from Case Western Reserve University in PA studies while completing her clinicals at the Cleveland Clinic. Assal is a proud member of the California Academy of PA’s and the American Academy of PAs. She’s licensed by the Medical Board of California, is certified by the Drug Enforcement Administration for controlled substance care, and is also certified by the American Heart Association for basic life support.
