I have enjoyed the privilege of providing care to patients as a nurse for 13 years. I have previous experience in neurosurgery/neurology, making the decision to transition to mental healthcare in 2017. My passion includes assisting patients who have found difficulty finding a provider with whom they can effectively collaborate. I believe every person has the right to access to safe, effective, compassionate behavioral healthcare. My ideal client is every client who is ready to get to work to improve their mental health. Whether you are coping with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia my goal will be to help you understand your diagnosis and investigate the most effective means to help you reach wellness. My approach is highly collaborative, including patient input as well as input from other members of the patient care team. My focus is in reaching a plan that is most comfortable, safe and effective for the patient.
“Naomi is the kindest most caring practitioner I ever had the pleasure of working with. She is attentive and listens to me as I am having a meltdown because I cannot focus, she even went through a college study guide with me. She listens and constantly works to find the best solution for the patient. Doesn't push for medicine unless it is really necessary and even when medicine is involved she makes sure you are eased into the right dosage.”

Charlie is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. His philosophy to treatment is the use of medication and supplements in combination with learning new ways of handling stress. Charlie believes you are in charge of your own journey and sees his role as a partner, not a director in your healthcare plan. He uses compassion, humor, and philosophy to empower clients to reach their full potential while reducing psychological suffering.
He began his nursing career in 2003 and has worked the last 13 years in psychiatric settings. Charlie has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings with children, adolescents and adults. He currently sees adolescents ( ages 13 +) and adults for management of mental illnesses including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety disorders, etc. He completed his Registered Nursing degree from Reynolds Community College and his Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from Wilkes University.
“Dr. Balla is awesome! She listens to your concerns and provides practical, useful feedback. When recommending or adjusting meds, she also shares what to expect and tips to make sure you are aware of how your body responds to it. I highly recommend her.”
