“Susan is a professional, empathetic and impressive psychologist. When my young son was in serious crisis she saw us quickly, identified the issue, and got him started with medication right away. She was always easily accessible with questions and concerns and later was able to diagnose him with what a neuropsych test missed. Susan is also now helping me with my challenges as well. She is genuinely caring and very knowledgeable and accessible. I would recommend her service to anyone!”
Through biopsychosocial model of care, I am able to make clearer deductions regarding mental , physical and emotional pain everyone is going through. As humans we all lie on a mental health spectrum that ranges from no treatment to intense treatment. A diagnostic lens is the key

I went into psychiatry to improve access to considerate, kind, and evidence-based mental healthcare. Through my work in community health centers I have partnered with hundreds of patients to be empowered and informed consumers of healthcare. In those settings, I have worked with people from all walks of life; I have had training in providing care to gender diverse populations, people with addictions, pregnant and nursing people, as well as caring for severe mental illness. I continually seek new information to be sure my patients receive appropriate care in a timely manner.
Although the care I provide is rooted in current medical knowledge, my relationship to patients is informed by the nursing model. This emphasizes caring for the whole person rather than a narrow “problem” focus. I seek to understand my patients’ lives in order to develop treatment plans that realistically align with their goals.
Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I offer medication management as well as psychotherapy and CBT for a wide range of psychiatric conditions. I use a holistic approach in order to treat the client as a whole, and encourage alternative treatment therapies as well. My goal is to establish a trusting and therapeutic relationship, in efforts to promote a positive and unique experience, but most importantly facilitate the best possible health outcomes.
We can all face difficult times. Fortunately, there are ways to obtain convenient and confidential treatment in your own home through online telehealth psychiatry services.
I am a Board certified, doctorally prepared, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specialized in understanding both the biological and psychological factors of human emotions. Having practiced as a Primary Care Provider for nearly 10 years, I have seen first hand how mental health impacts a person's overall ability to function. That is the reason I pursued additional education and am now dually board certified in both Family Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health. It is the most fulfilling aspect of my practice to be able to help someone manage the symptoms that are causing them distress and regain balance in their life. I look forward to meeting you and helping you get back on the path you belong.
Whether you are considering medication for the first time or seeking a second opinion, my approach is collaborative and evidence-based. I treat a variety of conditions, including depression, anxiety, attention deficit, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress, and postpartum mood disorders. Patients often describe my approach as attentive, supportive, and thorough. My passions for mental health advocacy, research and clinical work are inspired by my respect for the diversity of human experience and our capacity for profound growth and healing.
