Dr. Jennifer Guo is a board-certified psychiatrist with a passion for exploring innovative treatments for mental health conditions. Holding both an MD from Yale School of Medicine and a PhD in Neuroscience, Dr. Guo’s journey into the realm of psychedelic medicine began during her residency at UCSF, where she witnessed the profound healing power of these substances from the lived experience of her patients and the promising research on psychedelics for treating depression, PTSD, addiction, and anxiety.
After completing her residency, Dr. Guo pursued additional training in psychedelic-assisted therapy and interventional psychiatry, working closely with leading practitioners and educators in the field. She started and grew one of largest esketamine treatment programs in the country, and continues to advocate for the responsible integration of psychedelics into modern psychiatry. She has since become a sought-after speaker, educator, and mentor, and remains a volunteer assistant clinical professor at UCSF.
Dr. Guo believes in a holistic approach to mental health care, addressing the root causes of psychological distress rather than merely treating symptoms. She views psychedelic therapy as a powerful tool for facilitating profound introspection, emotional healing, and personal growth. Dr. Guo’s mission is to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based psychedelic-assisted therapy to individuals seeking relief from mental health challenges. Through compassionate guidance and support, she aims to empower patients to embark on a journey of healing and personal transformation through authentic expression and courageous exploration of their inner worlds.

Philosophy of Care:
In the realm of medicine, my practice is a sacred journey, a quest into the heart of humanity. My philosophy of care is an unyielding marriage of compassion and relentless intellectual pursuit. I see each patient, not as a case, but as a fascinating tapestry of stories interwoven with physiology and psychology.
I strive to view every person holistically, acknowledging the intricate interplay of mind and body, emotion and ailment, environment and gene. I am perpetually curious, yearning to discover, to delve beneath the surface, to truly understand and address the root causes of distress.
My passion for neurology is not only confined to the scientific rigor it demands, but it also lies in the unique personal narratives that each neuron carries. I listen with empathy, eager to understand each patient in their entirety, their experiences, fears, hopes and dreams.
In the face of adversity, I commit to being a pillar of strength, of reassurance. My mission is to illuminate the path to recovery, ensuring that each patient feels seen, heard and valued. This is my calling, my duty, my unwavering promise: to provide care that's a blend of science and compassion, to preserve dignity, and to foster healing and resilience.
