Over my career I have had the fortune of working to help others in many capacities. As the medical director of the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team, I had the rare experience of evaluating individuals in their own home and mitigating crisis. As an emergency psychiatric provider, I have worked with patients in their most challenging moments. As a program director of an inpatient psychiatric hospital, I was able to manage a patient from crisis to stabilization.

Richard Young, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is an experienced psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Lifespan Psychiatry & Wellness Center in Houston, Texas. Dedicated to serving his patients and aiming to provide the highest standard of mental health care, Richard is known for delivering care with excellence and integrity.
Richard has over 23 years of staff Registered Nursing experience spanning nephrology, psychiatry, intensive care, education, information technology, and skill nursing. He also has over four years of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practice experience and three years of Family Nursing Practice experience in outpatient clinics and Correctional Facilities.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, followed by his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). He then completed a Post Masters Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky, followed by a Doctor of Nursing Practice (in progress).
Many psychiatric practices provide only medication prescriptions, but Lifespan Psychiatry & Wellness Center offers patient-centered, complete care, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy.
Taking an evidence-based and comprehensive approach to care, Richard leads with medication management and provides combined support therapy. He specializes in assisting patients with different mental disorders, including anxiety, ADHD, Autism, eating disorders, depression, PTSD, Schizophrenia, and Alzheimer’s.
He can also collaborate with psychiatrists and treatment teams and refer patients to other disciplines when needed.
Richard typically sees patients later in the afternoon and early evening, around 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. He warmly welcomes all patients to the Lifespan Psychiatry & Wellness Center and looks forward to caring for them across their lifespan.
Olawale is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with training in treating patients across lifespan and practice settings. His educational training was completed at Prairie View A&M and University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Olawale's approach focuses on creating an individualized, evidence-based, collaborative and comprehensive approach that promotes quality of life and the best health outcomes. Through active listening and thoughtful prompts, we can deploy treatment plans that targets remission and return to baseline. Priti Palvadi, MD, is a neurologist at Houston Neurological Institute in Pasadena and Pearland, Texas.
Dr. Priti Palvadi attended Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, India. She then completed her neurology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She then worked as Assistant Professor at the Little Rock VA hospital as a general neurologist for seven years.
Following that, she completed her clinical neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, specializing in diagnostic sleep medicine, EMG, and EEG. She practiced in Baytown and also trained in sleep medicine during this period.
Dr. Palvadi is board-certified by the American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult neurology and in sleep medicine. Dr. Palvadi provides neurological consultation for patients with a wide variety of neurological disorders including epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, migraines, dementia, neuropathies, and sleep disorders.

Omotayo Sofela, PMHNP, is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner at Abisom Behavioral Health LLC, a mental health practice located in Conroe, Texas. Her training and nursing experience have expanded nearly two decades of working in various nursing settings.
Omotayo received her Bachelor of Science degree from York University in Toronto, Canada, and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University.

Dr. St. John has been in private practice in West Houston/Memorial since 2006.
