Sarah Dowd, MPAS-C, CAQ-PSYCH, is a physician assistant and a valued member of the team at Rein Center, an integrative psychiatry practice based in Iowa City, Iowa. Her mission is to provide holistic, comprehensive mental health care to individuals living in and around Iowa.
An Iowa native, Sarah has been a physician assistant practicing psychiatry for over seven years. She graduated from the Des Moines University PA Program and completed her psychiatry fellowship in 2017 through Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines.
Although she has always had an interest in the mind and psychology, it was not until PA school that she fell in love with mental health. Since graduating, Sarah has primarily worked in outpatient mental health, but she also has experience in inpatient psychiatry and family medicine. Medical College in India before going on to Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to complete an Internal Medicine residency followed by neurology residencies at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
