Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I offer medication management as well as psychotherapy and CBT for a wide range of psychiatric conditions. I use a holistic approach in order to treat the client as a whole, and encourage alternative treatment therapies as well. My goal is to establish a trusting and therapeutic relationship, in efforts to promote a positive and unique experience, but most importantly facilitate the best possible health outcomes.
I am a dually certified nurse practitioner in both psychiatric mental health and family medicine. I began my nurse practitioner career in family medicine in a small rural community in Vermont where I enjoyed taking care of the physical and mental health of individuals and families. More recently, I worked in college health where I spent much of my time caring for the psychiatric needs of students. I found that I loved taking care of my patients-providing lifestyle counseling, integrative approaches and medication.
Fueled by this newfound passion I returned to Regis College for a post-master’s certification in psychiatric mental health. In my practice, I am committed to allow for time to facilitate therapeutic relationships and trust with my patients with a compassionate and open approach. I work with patients in a collaborative way to empower and educate them to participate in their treatment, working toward their goals for optimal wellness.
I am a family nurse Practitioner graduated from University of Massachusetts in Lowell and Certified Psychiatric mental health Nurse practitioner graduated from Northeastern university. In addition to my primary care experience, I've been working with patients experiencing the following conditions: : Bipolar/Depression, anxiety disorder, OCD, PTSD, schizo, ect.
Our client focus approach allows us to be partnered in creating the treatment Plan unique for you. My specialty is largely medication management, but a comprehensive treatment plan incorporated supportive therapy, educational counseling for children and adolescent and much more.
“Sydney is the best prescriber I’ve ever had! She remembers details about your life, takes her time, and helps explain why she’s prescribing a certain medication or share why she’s changing dosages. I’ve been a client for several years and even changed agencies to remain a client!”
“Dr. Steven has been my psychiatrist for over two years, and his unwavering support has been invaluable to my mental health journey. He consistently offers his professional medical opinions while taking the time to truly listen to me, ensuring I feel heard and understood. His care, patience, and understanding have profoundly improved my quality of life. I deeply value his ability to combine expert guidance with genuine compassion, and I am incredibly grateful for his dedication to my well-being.”
