I have held several senior positions, including Chief of Psychiatry, Medical Director, and Chairman of Psychiatry, at various leading institutions. I have also published numerous articles, journals, books, and am currently active in many community awareness programs. Currently, I am the Founder/Executive Medical Director of Psychiatric Solutions, PC, rendering care in the Sugar Land, Katy, Sealy, and Lake Jackson areas.

Funmi Akinrimisi is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Before working in the NP role, Funmi has several years of experience in medical-surgical /Pediatric but specifically 10 years of experience in geriatric, adult, and child Psychiatry nursing.
Her passion for psychiatry nursing led her to pursue her master's in Psychiatry Nursing. Funmi believes in a holistic approach towards treatment and aims to address contributing factors leading to less than optimal life quality for her patients.
