Paroma Mitra MD MPH has completed her adult Psychiatry training at Harlem Hospital Center, Columbia University Medical Center. She also trained at NYU Langone School of Medicine in Geriatric Psychiatry and Public Sector Psychiatry. She is board certified in both Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. She has numerous awards in teaching and training and has presented her work in clinical research both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Mitra does not believe that one treatment fits all. She believes in a compassionate approach and strongly emphasizes on holistic well being. She works on both medications using a therapeutic person-centered approach with care. Her understanding of Eastern philosophy and well being is a part of how she views every person's concerns. Her approach is uniquely tailored to each and every individual.
Guang Yan Yao, PA-C, is a physician assistant at blueprintMD in Valley Stream, Massapequa, and Melville, New York. He has nearly 10 years of clinical experience and is passionate about combining technology and health care to give his patients enhanced experiences and support them on their journey to better health.
Guang earned his Bachelor of Science in business management from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York. He earned his physician assistant degree from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program.
After graduating, Guang gained clinical experience as a pediatric, adult, and urgent care physician assistant. He strives to streamline back-office procedures to improve continuity of care for patients.
Guang assists the medical team at blueprintMD in diagnosing a range of health issues and working closely with patients to develop customized treatment plans. His goal is to guide each patient on a path that fits their unique needs and allows them to enjoy their best health.
Along with his physician assistant board certification, Guang is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
