Margaret Miller, DNP, LMSW is a psychiatrist and the founder of Greenwich Avenue Psychiatry, located in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Dr. Miller began her career in psychiatry at Weill Cornell in the emergency room, where she trained through Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic. Following years of providing psychotherapy and working at Montefiore Medical Center, Margaret returned to Columbia University for a Master’s in Nursing, followed by a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a clinical focus on psychopharmacology. She has presented work on reducing stigma and improving mental health care delivery at several conferences and is the recipient of multiple scholarly awards.
Margaret firmly believes in the power of the patient-provider relationship when it comes to providing care. Approaching all aspects of mental health with curiosity and empathy, Margaret specializes in crafting tailored psychiatric treatment plans that incorporate patient-centered goals. While more than comfortable I feel utilizing medication as appropriate in treating psychiatric disorders, I am not averse to employing complementary medicine such as acupuncture and psychotherapy as an additional tool.
My unique approach involves providing holistic mental health intervention including acupuncture, cupping, aromatherapy, and supplements including injectable Vitamin B12, D3, and Tri-Boost in addition to traditional psychiatric medication management.
