Altia Landis, a Miami native, is an accomplished nursing professional dedicated to improving healthcare for diverse patient demographics, including the elderly. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emory University (2007) and a Master of Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Miami (2012), with additional qualifications as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Oms is board certified in General Psychiatry and has 13 years of experience in the treatment of mental illness. She has served as the Vice Chair of Psychiatry at West Palm Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL. She also has previous experience as the Inpatient Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at the Citrus Health Network in Miami, FL. and the Womens Psychiatric Unit at Baptist Health Center in Pensacola, FL.
Dr. Oms earned her Medical Doctorate at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic. She then completed both General Psychiatry residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship training at Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami in Miami, FL. She has experience in performing both Electroconvulsive Therapy and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. Dr. Oms is bilingual in English and Spanish.
