“Sydney is the best prescriber I’ve ever had! She remembers details about your life, takes her time, and helps explain why she’s prescribing a certain medication or share why she’s changing dosages. I’ve been a client for several years and even changed agencies to remain a client!”

I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who works alongside clients to assess, diagnosis, and treat mental health concerns through medication management. I value patient centered and collaborative care to make sure the focus of treatment is on what matters most to you.
Through my work at MGH, Mclean, and the Bedford VA, I have worked closely with clients throughout the stages of their treatment. I particularly enjoy introducing people to mental health treatment. I spend time educating to diagnosis and treatment options. We will discuss medication options as well as other ways of managing mental health concerns.
I am a dually certified nurse practitioner in both psychiatric mental health and family medicine. I began my nurse practitioner career in family medicine in a small rural community in Vermont where I enjoyed taking care of the physical and mental health of individuals and families. More recently, I worked in college health where I spent much of my time caring for the psychiatric needs of students. I found that I loved taking care of my patients-providing lifestyle counseling, integrative approaches and medication.
Fueled by this newfound passion I returned to Regis College for a post-master’s certification in psychiatric mental health. In my practice, I am committed to allow for time to facilitate therapeutic relationships and trust with my patients with a compassionate and open approach. I work with patients in a collaborative way to empower and educate them to participate in their treatment, working toward their goals for optimal wellness.

Patients are often anxious or depressed, lack the motivation to work, isolate themselves from family and friends, lose interest in the things they used to enjoy, or perform poorly at their jobs.
The root issue is that most adults don’t understand the underlying causes of depression, anxiety, other mental health conditions, and/or other factors affecting mental health.

Her clinical specialties include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, OCD, ADHD, substance use disorder and substance abuse, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, sleep disorders like insomnia, and psychosis.
