I thank Dr. Hannon and Dr. Monica Hannon for being wonderful doctors for me over the years. Dr. Hannon also gave me a name for a new primary care doctor as mine has retired. He also recommended that I see a skin doctor and I wilShow morel do that too. Dr. Hannon goes out of his way to help his patients any way he can. I am lucky to have him as my doctor.

Since establishing his private practice in 1984, Ziyad Hannon, MD, FACOG, has built a reputation for cutting-edge OB/GYN health care. He welcomes patients to Lakeside Obstetrics, Gynecology & Fertility, at our state-of-the-art San Francisco location on 8th Avenue at Geary Boulevard.
A graduate of Lowell High School, San Francisco, Dr. Hannon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of San Francisco. He then attended UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree. He spent the next four years in residency training at one of the largest maternity hospitals in the United States: Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, Texas. There, he published his research paper on Ectopic Pregnancies.
His commitment to medical student education earned him the “2010 Outstanding Teacher Award” from the University of California San Francisco, School of Medicine. He continues his volunteer clinical teaching, as well as maintaining membership on active staff in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco. He is also on active staff and serves as Chief of Gynecology at St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center, San Francisco.
Dr. Hannon has been serving the needs of families throughout the San Francisco Bay Area since 1984. He has expertise in the management of fertility issues, abdominal & pelvic surgery, including minimally invasive procedures. He has delivered multi-generational families and maintains a full schedule, providing personalized care to his patients.
Outside work, Dr. Hannon enjoys swimming and creative writing, but most of all he enjoys wrestling with his grandchildren.

Dr. Ziyad Hannon is so professional at resolving health issues. He chooses the perfect tests & exams to find the right solution to problems. And he interacts with patients in a very kind and thoughtful manner. He is so nice and pleasant, and I trust him completely.
Dr. Zyiad Hannon deliverd my son with no complications 40 years ago. I've currently been under his care for some female organ issues. He's very helpful in explaining issues, he's warm, friendly, and makes me feel at ease .

Dr. Hannon is probably great if everything goes right for your pregnancy. Unfortunately it didn’t for mine, and Dr. Hannon misdiagnosed my issue and recommended treatment that was unnecessary and could have had serious consequences. I got a second opinion and was able to get the care I needed from UCSF. I would not trust Dr. Hannon with my health/pregnancy again.
