It's a bit early in my treatment (four sessions in...) to say much of value, but the experience has been interesting and positive so far. Yong Shin seems to know what he's doing, but I don't really know what he's Show moredoing... So, let me just say that each session consists of his cordial greeting and efficient placement of the needles, after which I lie comfortably (face down so my lower back is exposed) for about 20 minutes while gentle electrical current passes between some of the needles.
Persistent shoulder/arm pain for nearly 3 months. Aspirin, Tylenol (Extra Strength, Arthritis Strength), Aleve, Advil and topical medications did nothing. I don't know anyone that has had acupuncture treatments but I thoughtShow more it wouldn't hurt to try. So glad I did! One treatment and one day later the pain had subsided by 75-80%. What a blessing. I am hopeful that eventually the pain will be gone permanently but right now, my quality of life has improved greatly. Thank you Dr. Shin!

Very professional and curious staff, doctor is top shelf.
Everyone in the office is very understanding and kind and patient. I've seen four different acupuncturists in Richmond with out satisfaction and extremely overpriced for lack of service. Providence acupuncture has been excellent in my opinion and I've scheduled my third appointment. Very reasonably priced, nice location, plenty of parking, ease of making appointment.

Acupuncture is new to me, so I'm trying to stay objective about whether it's affecting my lower back pain. After five visits, I'd say that the back felt better after 2 of them (including the latest). It's an interesting experience, but one I can't evaluate yet for efficacy.
I continue to be impressed with Dr. Shin’s professionalism and compassionate attitude. He is what every practitioner should strive to become.

They take Tricare and had me scheduled quickly and efficiently. The staff is friendly and professional. The doctor was to the point and explained everything to me prior to treatment. Treatment was relaxing.
I had my first sessions with Dr Shin. I came to his office in a lot of pain. I was pleasantly surprised that at the end of the session, I was feeling much better
