About Wubit Raru, FNP-BC

Wubit Raru, FNP-BC is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with close to a decade of experience in the medical field. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with diverse patient populations in various clinical settings, providing evidence-based and holistic care to patients of all ages.

She joined PrimeCare Medicine after working at George Washington University Hospital Kidney Disease and Hypertension department as a hospitalist and outpatient clinic at GW Medical Faculty Associates for three years. Her focus has been on using evidence-based practice to optimize the care coordination process for patients from diagnosis to treatment and beyond. Now, as she transitions to a Primary Care practice, Wubit's goal is to focus on preventative care and managing chronic conditions to prevent complications.

She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner at George Washington University and is also enrolled in a Lifestyle Medicine Residency Program at GWU. In addition to diagnosing and treating appropriately, her approach also involves utilizing the seven pillars of lifestyle medicine, such as promoting a whole food, plant-based eating pattern, incorporating regular physical activity, prioritizing restorative sleep, managing stress, avoiding risky substances, and fostering positive social connections as primary therapeutic modalities.
