Woo Hyun Sohn, MD, is the founder of Stellar Women’s Care in Houston, Texas. He has been working as an obstetrician and gynecologist since 2000.
Dr. Sohn began his medical career in South Korea, where he earned his medical degree and completed his first OB/GYN training. He then relocated to the United States, where he completed his second OB/GYN training at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Sohn is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
From annual well-woman visits to the management of gynecological disorders, as well as pregnancy and childbirth, Dr. Sohn provides a full spectrum of OB/GYN care. He performs and has a special interest in minimally-invasive gynecologic surgeries, including Da Vinci robotic procedures.
Dr. Sohn has privileges at Memorial Hermann Medical Center in Memorial City. He always provides the compassion and expertise all patients look for in a healthcare provider, taking the time to create personalized treatment plans that meet their health care goals. To better serve his patients, Dr. Sohn is fluent in English and Korean.
When he’s not working, Dr. Sohn enjoys spending time with his family, and listening and playing jazz music.

The doctor is very nice, explains everything to you, tells you everything that’s gonna happen before your visit, ask you if you have any questions, and if everything was clear.
The ambiance is great, the nurses are incredible, he answered every question I had and it was very quick, I didn’t have to wait months for an appointment so it was awesome 100% would recommend
Best experience ever for my first full term pregnancy. The ladies at desk are very helpful, fast, friendly with creating appointments and getting everything processed for you. The customer service has always been excellent. The nurses are very helpful with keeping you updated with appointment information and making you feel comfortable. I have had no wait time problem since I have started going to Dr. Sohn’s office they will get you in quickly. I love it here because they are determined to get to know their patients. Dr. Sohn is wonderful and understanding. He is very helpful, caring, and kind he will not steer you in the wrong direction. He answers your questions in a great manner, make sure you are always updated, and very gentle. I would recommend this office/doctor to any one in need.
