Dr. Choung is the best doctor I have ever been too. He is thorough with his diagnosis and explains the injury in an understandable way. Before seeing Dr. Choung I could barely walk or even apply pressure on my foot. The previous dShow moreoctor I seen for a year sent me to physical therapy I was in constant pain and he released me at maximum medical condition. The first time seeing Doctor Choung he immediately immobilized my foot, within 2 months I could walk again. If I have any other issues I will definitely go back to Dr. Choung as long as he is still serving clients. You’re never waiting long in his office to be seen and Dr. Choung and his staff are so nice and courteous too. Every visit has been quick and thorough. Highly recommend Dr. Choung He deserves 10 stars!!
I am a new patient. I showed up 30 minutes early for paperwork. The lady at the front was prompt and nice. A minute after I finish paperwork I am in a room with another nice and funny lady. Next thing I know I have been x-rayeShow mored and I am in front of Dr. Choung going over options. Aftet the doctor I met with 2 other very pleasant ladies to finish. The total experience was amazing from start to finish. Thanks for everything!

Dr. Choung obtained his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He then went on to the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, where he received his Medical Degree. Dr. Choung is a member in good standing of several medical professional associations including the Florida Medical Association, Citrus County Medical Society, American Medical Association and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr Choung is a great doctor he listens and makes decisions with you he tells you the best thing to do. He's taken care of my bones for 21 years I trust him and he has never let me suffer in pain.. It's hard to trust doctors these days but Dr.Choung is trust worthy.

He did an amazing job on my left hip replacement 6 months ago, I'm ready to do my right hip. He understands that having these full hip replacements will give me back the quantity of life I once enjoyed. Simple things like walking was becoming a chore and because I was only in my 50's no one was taking me seriously. Thank you Dr Chong for listening and understanding.

Dr Chung has been my orthopedic physician for many years. This time we discussed options and the need for hip replacement due to a previous accident. I told him I wanted to get a second opinion, and he was fine with that and will provide a digital copy of X-rays.
Knows his stuff, also is athletic himself.
The agony of my right leg is daily and difficult to describe. Doctor Walter Choung knows how to help me reasonably take care of the pain. He discusses the issues and helps me with care. I would tell anyone he is the best orthopedic doctor ever!!!

World class service on the nature coast from consultancy through surgery and post op recovery. They run a really tight ship with respect to your time but dr Choung will spend the time to insure the best possible outcome.
Great staff, nurses and doctors. Didn't have to wait long. I wish I would have found Dr Choung when I pulled my knee in July. If you have a PPO and they cover your insurance do not wait for a referral you don't need one. They do X-rays, MRI and physical therapy all in one building. Thank you all!

Dr.Choung has been very helpful and patient with my knee injury. My first meniscus tear was in 2020, so Covid restrictions legally forced us to delay surgery. Because of this delay, we had other complications, especially atrophy of my muscles, and my arthritis. After a successful surgery, and about 2 months of physical therapy, I was able to return to work. The physical demands of my job caused more "wear & tear," so occasionally orthovisc and/or cortisone shots helped immensely, until another meniscus tear in 2023, (same knee). Thankfully, Dr.Choung was able to repair, and I again was able to return to work. It was my decision to try to wait for retirement, before having total knee replacement surgery. My surgery date was 11-6-24, and already I feel so much better! The first week was very difficult, but since then, everyday is an improvement. I especially appreciate the home health PT, 3 x week. I begin outpatient PT next week, and look forward to getting stronger and better. ❤️
