Vincent Galan, MD, MBA, DABPM, is an esteemed and board-certified anesthesiologist, as well as CEO and medical director of Pain Care, LLC, located in Stockbridge, Lawrenceville, Newnan & Johns Creek, GA. With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Galan holds an impressive five board certifications.
He is board-certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesia, the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM), the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians (ABIPP), the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), and holds the American Board of Anesthesiology’s (ABA) Subspecialty Certification in Pain Management.
Dr. Galan is also president of the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. In addition, he held the distinguished position of director of the Pain Center at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia, from 1990 until 2008, when he left to start Pain Care, LLC.
After graduating from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1984, Dr. Galan began practicing in the Atlanta, Georgia, area. On the cutting-edge of the pain management industry, he is constantly researching new treatments and devices to care for his patients who are suffering from chronic pain.
Chronic back pain, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), neuropathy, and joint pain are just a few types of pain Dr. Galan treats with evidence-based devices, such as the Nevro® spinal cord stimulation system, the Stimwave neurostimulator, Medtronic pain relief devices, the minimally invasive Vertiflex® procedure, and the Boston Scientific spinal cord stimulator.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Galan has contributed to the examination and test writing processes for three national pain organizations.
He completed his pain fellowship at Downstate Medical Center – SUNY in Brooklyn, New York, and trained under renowned anesthesiologist Dr. P. P. Raj, professor of anesthesia at the University of Texas, at Hermann Hospital, University of Texas, in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Galan has also served on the members’ committee of the Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors and has presented at annual meetings for the Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care, the American Pain Society, the American Society of Pain Physicians Annual Meeting, the North American Neuromodulation Society, and more.

I’m always treated like VIP this time the lady at the front desk was not nice, rude other people in the office heard her talking to me. It wasn’t good!

Dr. Galan was very knowledgeable in the medical condition that I currently have and the procedure that I recently had to help cure the condition. He was very thorough in answering all questions asked and addressed all concerns. I highly recommend him.

Doctors are very good but they don’t hear me when I describe my pain and the lack of life I live on a daily basis. I am bedridden. I can’t help my husband with daily chores let alone food shopping. He works a full time job and takes care of my 78 year old mother. I just want to live a normal life as best I can but having only 3 pain pills a day that only work for 3 hours at a time I can not. So my future is not bright and now being 56 years old, this is supposed to be our golden years. I am so sad for my husband because he is bearing the brunt of this and it. Is wearing him down to the point of shear exhaustion. I hope by writing this someone hears and feels my pain. I want to get out of this bed!! I just need my pain medicine increased to 5 a day. I know what my body can handle. Before the laws changed I was taking 8 hydrocodones a day. Yes that was a lot! I chose to stop taking them alll together for several years but the pain had just gotten too bad that I couldn’t stand it anymore. So here I am. I am not by any means a drug seeker. I am a 56 year old mother and wife that just wants to live as normal a life as I can. Thanks for listening. I just hope someone hears me.

Was very patient with me and understand when you are going to have spia
as a new patient many years ago, the physicians, nurses, and support staff really worked hard to understand how to handle my pain situation. It's being treated well now and has been for over 7 years with the help of Ms. Patel and her colleagues. It's very difficult for me to give 5 star ratings to ANYTHING, but the team at pain care really will surprise you.
