I was a new patient with Dr. Kimelheim. Having just moved here from out of state. He is my kind of Dr. Very,Very knowledgeable, and extremely funny. It was really a joy to meet with him. I could tell right away that he enjoyed whShow moreat he did. I'm sorry that it was his last day in the office. I wish him the BEST for the future, and hope that any Doctors or interns that he works with realize what a wonderful person they have. Sorry... The office staff at Hill Country are Fantastic also. Dr. Quintero does a great job. He doesn’t freeze off every little blemish and is clearly interested in a comfortable and positive patient experience. His staff is supper friendly and wait times are short or nonexistent. I can onlShow morey recommend him for minor skin problems based on my experience, but he is my dermatologist for the long term and I trust him.
Vicente Quintero, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Hill Country Dermatology in New Braunfels, Schertz, and San Marcos, Texas. He provides caring and comprehensive dermatology care for patients of all ages.
Dr. Quintero was born and raised in the small border town of Mission, Texas, in a family of nine children. He used his love of math and science to earn a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin. He then pursued his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Quintero specializes in treating diseases of the skin, hair, and nails, and has a special interest in the treatment of psoriasis and hair loss. As a native Texan, and with his desire to practice in a small town, Dr. Quintero’s professional career brought him to New Braunfels, where he began in private practice in 2001.
Dr. Quintero is active in his community and has a passion for medical missions to countries like Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti, Cuba, and others. Dr. Quintero is fluent in Spanish.

We are so grateful for Dr. Quintero. The entire staff at Hill Country Dermatology is kind, professional, helpful, and quick. The office is clean, thoughtfully decorated, and comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. My ten year old commented, “That was so much better than I was expecting!” :)

The office was well-run, and short time in waiting room. Doctor and staff were knowledgeable and pleasant. Cost was reasonable for an uninsured procedure. Only downside was long wait to get an appointment (6 weeks).

Was nervous to come in as I’d never been to a Derm for a skin check and had previous negative experience with male dermatologist years ago. Asia and Dr. Q were great, everything was super easy and smooth. All my questions were answered. Definitely recommending to friends and family.
