I always enjoy my visits to this office! When I had my first visit I was not excited because of everything that happened to me in Austin but the more I got to know Dr White I started trusting him more and more because I felt he hoShow morenestly did care about what happened to me and how he could help me deal with all my pain issues and there are a lot. I’ve been working with the new Spinal Cord Stimulators and they work so much better than the old one plus I think it has to do with the placement of leads and batteries too!! I with a lot of help just finished the trial for the Stimulator for my neck yesterday and I knew it helped but I never realized just how much until last evening! I’m in so much pain again today. Thanks Dr White for pulling those leads!

Thomas S. White, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist by the American Board of Anesthesiology and board-certified in interventional pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is an associate physician at Procura Pain and Spine in The Woodlands, Texas.
Raised in Cypress, Texas, Dr. White’s education began at the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in biochemistry. Following his undergraduate years, he embarked on his career in medicine, attending the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he earned his medical degree. Shortly after, he continued his comprehensive training by completing his anesthesiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He later moved on to complete his fellowship training in interventional pain management at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.
Dr. White uses a multimodal approach to treat pain, including the use of injections and advanced surgical procedures such as sacroiliac joint stabilization, interspinous spacers, lateral arthrodesis, intrathecal pump implantation, as well as spinal cord stimulation. He is a consultant for Medtronic and is currently the principal investigator for three randomized control trials involving the use of the Spinal Cord Stimulator Differential Targeted Multiplex (DTM) waveform for various pain states.
Alongside his scholastic achievements, Dr. White is also an active member of multiple societies, including the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the Spine Interventional Society, as well as the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Outside of medicine, Dr. White spends time with his wife and two daughters and is a passionate Texas Longhorns football fan.

Dr. White is a great doctor. He listens to your concerns and he will recommend what to do first to help with your pain. He takes the time to explain how he is going to do a procedure so that you understand what is going on.

Dr White listen to what you have to say and the staff from when you walk in the door till you leave everybody is very Polite
Dr. White provides good service, is knowledgeable and always has a good attitude. The problem is, if you need any kind of procedure to alleviate your pain, sometimes pain that is serious enough to keep you from working, you should prepare to exhaust all sick time at work because it will take 30-45 days to get your follow-up appointment for the procedure. Ridiculous!!!!!!

I love the fact that Dr. White wants to explore every avenue to help control your pain. He doesn’t just write you a prescription and send you on your way. He actually talks to you about other options as well. He has a pleasant bedside manner that makes you feel like he really cares. I’ve been to a few different pain management doctors and I can honestly tell you that it’s hard to find one who cares. Most of them want to write you a script and push you through like cattle. I’ve really felt nurtured by both Dr. White and his PAs. If you’re looking for someone who listens and makes you feel like a person (not just cattle) I highly recommend Procura Pain Institute. Everyone there will make you feel like you’ve found the right place to go.
