About Thomas Dixon, MD

Thomas Dixon, M.D., Ph.D. is a general adult psychiatrist seeing outpatients at KMG Psychiatry. He completed residency training at the UCSD Psychiatry Residency in the research track and previously graduated from the Tufts Medical Scientist Training Program where he received his medical doctorate as well as a Ph.D. in Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology. He treats the broad range of psychiatric conditions with an emphasis on mood, anxiety, and sleep disorders. He follows evidence-based standards for psychiatric medication treatment with adherence to FDA and DEA practice standards. 

He does not perform adult or child autism assessments and kindly requests that if you are seeking ADHD-specific treatment that you request any available past diagnosis and treatment notes from past clinicians in advance of your intake visit. Beyond science and medicine, he is passionate about the outdoors, cinema, literature, music, and health policy.
