3/12/2025 Dr. Darden is an amazing doctor. He has help me through laughter and tears. We tried everything possible to save my knees. Eventually, He done a partial knee replacement on left thru hospital, full knee replacement on tShow morehe right,as an out patient. Today, was my last visit. I wish Dr. Darden and the staff nothing but the best. May God watch over each of you in this new chapter. I am truly going to miss ya'll. It hit me hard as a drove around the building.
Dr Darden always shows great concern for my recovery each visit . He makes sure that I am doing okay and if I have any issues with pain or swelling. He makes sure to ask me if I have enough medication to help me with the rehab. HeShow more listens to all my concerns and is an excellent doctor.
Thomas Darden, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon trained in both general and total joint orthopaedics. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Darden serves patients in the Albany, Georgia, community at Orthopaedic Associates, specializing in sports medicine.
A Tennessee native, Dr. Darden has been passionate about orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine since graduating from Quillen-Dishner College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee, 1987. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Louisville Area Hospitals in Kentucky.
In 1992, Dr. Darden launched his own private orthopaedic practice with Orthopaedic Associates, where he continues to see patients today.
Dr. Darden has a wide range of orthopaedic interests, including musculoskeletal trauma treatment, the diagnosis and treatment of knee pain, fractures, and shoulder pain, and total joint replacement.
With more than 30 years of experience as an orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Darden continues to make the comfort, care, and treatment of his patients his top priority.
Dr. Darden is a member of the Medical Association of Georgia and the American Medical Association.
When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Darden enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and four children.

A caring doctor that I will recommend to everyone I know. If needed I will have him to do future surgery.

Best doctor ever. I went in the office and could not hardly walk because my knee hurt so bad but he fixed it and made it feel so much better. The pain was almost gone time I left his office. I don’t want to lose him as a dr.
