    About Dr. Theresa Powers, ND

    Dr. Theresa Powers, ND is a graduate of Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington and a licensed naturopathic doctor in the state of California. She has additional specialized training in German hydrotherapy techniques and botanical medicine. In addition to treating the symptoms of disease, Dr. Powers focuses on the reason people develop illness in the first place and creates a plan that will address the underlying cause while also problem-solving with her patients to figure out the easiest way to incorporate changes into their lifestyle.

    Dr. Powers has personal experience with chronic-disease management with both conventional and alternative medicine. She had a rare autoimmune disease as a child that eventually resulted in kidney failure and needing a transplant. This unique perspective allows her to be able to help patients overcome barriers and move in the direction of optimal health and well-being.

    Originally from Iowa, Dr. Powers moved to Los Angeles after completing her BFA and BA at the University of Iowa. She had a successful career in television working at Universal Studios, but felt driven to go back to school so that she could find a better way to help others with their health. She is currently studying acupuncture and Chinese medicine at Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA.
