About Tamara Fischer, FNP-C

I am a board Certified Nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. I obtained my master's degree from Clarkson College and bachelor's degree from College of St. Mary, both located in Omaha, Ne where i was born and raised. I have 25 plus years of experience treating patients of all ages. I have worked as a RN providing care to orthopedic patients, med-surg and extensive care in the operating room as well as pre and post op. As a nurse practitioner i worked in urgent care and geriatric settings. With over 13 years as a NP i understand the importance of caring for the individual patient and listening to their concerns. Listening is one of the most important components of a provider-patient relationship.

In my spare time I enjoy kayaking, hiking and traveling. I am a huge football fan and cheer on the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Denver Broncos. Needless to say, my weekends in the fall months are spent watching football. I have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren which bring tons of smiles to my face everyday.
