Sue Sphar, C.N.M, of Teverbaugh Croland & Mueller Ob/Gyn & Associates, S.C., in Peoria Illinois has been a certified nurse midwife since 2000. She received her nursing education at Illinois Central College, then later obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Bradley University before completing her Master’s degree in nursing-midwifery through the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Sue previously worked at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center for 20 years as a labor and delivery nurse, charge nurse, OB LifeFlight nurse and coordinator, high-risk OB coordinator, as well as part of the management team. Sue had the pleasure of being a Lamaze instructor for 15 years. She also taught undergraduate nursing students at OSF Saint Francis College of Nursing and Bradley University and also acted as a preceptor for graduate nursing students at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Sue has three grown children and one granddaughter.

I arrived earlier for my appointment and had hardly any wait. Everything went smoothly
I always feel heard and welcomed. I switched over to their practice for my first pregnancy and as soon as I started going there, I felt welcomed and never once felt judged.

Very nice and compassionate doctor. Never makes me feel rushed through my appointments, understanding and always listens. Very knowledgeable about pregnancy after gastric bypass and even got me set up early with extra monitoring from fetal specialists to avoid complications in future. Very glad I picked her.
