Dr. Stephen Babson M.D. is an American Board of Family Medicine certified physician. He completed an Integrative Medicine curriculum with the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. Dr. Babson provides full-spectrum Family Medicine care with a passion for integrative medicine and pediatrics.
As a Portland native, Dr. Babson is thrilled to be back in the Pacific Northwest. After completing his undergraduate degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Stanford University, he taught yoga in San Francisco. He then returned to Oregon to attend Oregon Health & Science University’s Medical Doctorate program prior to completing his training at the Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Babson views medicine as a language, and seeks to help translate a growingly complicated medical landscape in an approachable manner. With an emphasis on overall health and preventative medicine, Dr. Babson not only demonstrates a deep care for his patients but also a passion for patient education.
Dr. Babson’s interests outside of medicine include yoga, guitar and singing. He enjoys exploring the magnificent hiking opportunities that the Portland area has to offer.

The best very good
Dr. Babson came into our life when it turned out we really needed a doctor. He is caring, affable, competent and always prepared for your visit, on-line or in person. There have been bumps along the road but he is the first to take responsibility and make sure it doesn’t happen again. As we all know, medical care, referrals, scheduling and tests are not easy to navigate in our current medical environment. He and his staff bend over backwards to smooth the path.

if you want to see a rock star doc, go see Hugh Guppay. Guy never let me down, been going here over 25 years. Hugh himself is super professional, super attitude and bedside manner, your not going to find a better doctor for primary care. He is always spot on, has helped me with about everything i can think of over the years. He got my gout where it is completely controllable,blood pressure is great thanks to his recommend for a cpap doc that actually helped me make something work where others had failed, good guy to talk to in general, and i cant recommend this guy enough.
