Dr. Sonia has the most welcoming personality. She is very patient and very thorough when she is explaining things to my 81 year old mom ( dealing with neuropathy & other neuro issues). My mother likes that she gets right to the pShow moreoint. I referred a family friend to her last week.
Dr Kalirao has been seeing my husband for a few years now. She is very knowledgeable and professional. There are days you may have to wait, as you do in many offices these days, but she is worth it. I highly recommend her.
Sonia Kalirao, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist. She provides patients with the highest levels of care at The Neurology Institute in Coral Springs, Florida. Dr. Kalirao serves as the Program Director for Neurology Residency at Westside Regional and Northwest Medical Center. She sits on multiple committees and works with multiple organizations to ensure the highest level of comprehensive patient care.
Dr. Kalirao completed her neurology residency at New York Medical College in New York and a clinical neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota with epilepsy at Minnesota Epilepsy Group, Minnesota.
Dr. Kalirao's sees all spectrums of neurology disorders with emphasis on clinical neurophysiology, epilepsy, intra-operative monitoring, EEG, EMG, and using onabotulinum toxin A (Botox®) and rimabotulinum toxin B (Myobloc®).

She is widely published and acts as a principal investigator for multiple ongoing clinical trials in various neurological disorders. My appointment was changed from a Wednesday to a Monday and the Doctor was overbooked. After waiting 45 minutes and it wasn't looking like I would be called soon, I rebooked my appointment and left. When rebooking I learned that the Doctor was only at this site one day a week, Monday, I should have been told before they changed my date of appointment that this was the case. I will keep the next appointment but if I have the same wait, I will seek another neurologist and not from this practice.

I’ve been fighting my health plan for Botox for so long so I change my health insurance and I got the call to let that they approve it. I had my first Botox injection and I’m feeling so much better a little bit sore but no migraines. Thank god.
Dr. Kalirao is an amazing physician, she takes time and listen your concerns. My husband had the botox injection for the first time with her and was amazing. Immediately released his pain.

Dr. Kalirao and staff make me feel at ease and welcome every time. They don't make you wait around for your appointment. Dr. Kalirao is kind, brilliant and has phenomenal bedside manner. I'm on my second round of Botox for migraines and I'm starting to really see an improvement.
