Dr. Shobhana Gandhi is a board-certified OB/GYN whose main practice serves the greater Los Angeles, California area. She also serves residents who live in the surrounding communities. Her areas of expertise include all types of pregnancy care which includes delivering patients with medical issues and babies with abnormalities. She also provides comprehensive gynecologic care such as cancer screening, treatment of common gynecologic conditions such as abnormal bleeding, fibroids, ovarian cysts, infertility, hormone replacement therapy, and many other conditions that women may experience. Dr. Gandhi received her medical diploma in 1969 from the very prestigious Maharaja Sayajirao, located in Baroda, India. She served her Medical Internships at the University Hospital in Baroda, India and at Cook County Hospital. She completed her OBGYN Residency at Deaconess Hospital at Saint Louis, MO. and at the University Medical Center of Columbia, MO. Over the years, she has received numerous awards, recommendations, and certifications. They include the Healthgrades Honor Roll and an Outstanding Achievement Award. She has also been published in different media publications.

I would leave no stars if that was an option. This was my first visit to this doctor’s office so naturally, you should see the doctor for your first visit. I waited almost 2 hours until I was seen by the nurse practitioner, not the doctor. When I simply asked, she was dismissive, rude, and said with such a tone “well she’s not here today”. She was not warm or personable. Dismissing me and ignoring my past diagnoses. She did not believe me and dismissed ever concern I had. Quite frankly, she seemed very unintelligent, honestly. She came in to the room with such condescension and treated me like another checked box on her list. The chair for the exam was broken, she did not have a gentle touch WHATSOEVER. This was a well woman’s/pap smear appointment… she set up the clamp device like it was nothing and it was not in a sensitive area for me. To be blunt I felt like she treated my “area” like it was an inanimate object with no human attached to it all. It was very painful especially when already in a vulnerable position. She then shoved her fingers up there for the second part of the exam like it wasn’t a vulnerable area. She was horrible to say the least. I am NOT going back there ever and I will never recommend this place. You should be disgraced and ashamed. This isn’t a place of caring understanding medical professionals. This is a pathetic, unprofessional, unhygienic, and callous doctor’s office.

The clinic receptionists were disrespectful. Called to check for the results of my labs, she said it usually take weeks to be resulted. I said I was told it will be out in 24 hours. She said she will connect me to the lab and she just held the phone without connecting. Called the 2nd time and the other receptionist answered. I told my concern and she just hanged up.
I love dr Gandhi and her team! They are kind, thorough and always make me feel at ease. The women at the front desk are also lovely and so helpful. I’ve been coming to dr Gandhi for quite some time now and I’m so happy I found her and her nurse practitioner as well!
Not only was my NP Knowledgeable, and listened to my concerns. all the nurses took time to thoroughly explain my options. I had my 2 year old with me. So that was a job in itself, but everyone was very accommodating and understanding. So glad i came here!!
