Dr. Shawn D. Blick specializes in Urology. Founder of Valley Urology Associates, he joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2010 when they entered into a partnership. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Biochemistry from Cornell University and attended medical school at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Blick trained as a resident in both General Surgery and Urology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. In addition, his residency required him to complete six months of oncology training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
In Arizona, Dr. Blick currently serves as the Chief of Staff at Paradise Valley Hospital. He has also previously served as the Medical Director and Chairman of the Board at the Surgical Elite Surgery Center, the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Paradise Valley Hospital, West Valley Hospital, and Maryvale Hospital. He has attended multiple courses on advanced techniques for penile prosthesis insertion for erectile dysfunction, pelvic floor reconstruction for pelvic prolapse and stress urinary incontinence, laser surgery and UROLIFT for BPH, cryoablation and robotic assisted laparoscopic prostatectomies for prostate cancer, and hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomies for kidney cancer.
In the community, Dr. Blick has proven himself to be an excellent educator. He was an Adjunctive Faculty Member at Midwestern University Osteopathic College of Medicine for 12
years and has been given an award for his teaching skills. He has delivered multiple lectures to patients and physicians on the topics of erectile dysfunction, overactive bladders, stress urinary incontinence, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and prostate cancer.
Dr. Blick is certified by the American Board of Urology. He is a multi-year “Top Doc” honoree by Phoenix Magazine.

Dr Blick and his staff are great. He eased my apprehension as well.
Didn’t waste time got right into the CT scans. Ask me questions on how I felt if he could help anyway it was a good visit.

Very good experience, great staff. The Nurse practitioner, Katrina Hailey was very friendly, she spent a great deal of time with me and explained various options. I would highly recommend this practice.

Staff are always pleasant. There is little wait time from scheduled appt to seeing the doctor. The doctor is very thorough and explains things in understandable detail and he doesn't rush you through.

DR BLICK AND HIS STAFF HAVE PROVEN TO HAVE NOT FOLLOW PROTOCOL, NOT RETURN 6 MESSSGES TO DOCTOR ON URGENT PATIENT EMERGENCY. ALSO OFFICE MANAGER NOT RETURNING CALLS TO URGENT PATIENT NEEDS. PA PROVEN INCOMPATANT AS WELL. PATIENT CONFIRMED "POOR, UNPROFESSIONAL CARE" WITH TWO OTHER SPECIALIST......THANKFULLY PATIENT RECEIVING URGENTLY MUCH NEEDED CARE FROM CARING DOCTORS WHO TOOK TIME TO SEEM HIM ASAP!!! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND DR SHAWN BLICK!!! ALSO ISSUES WITH BLICK'S OFFICE PERFORMING A PROCEDURE ON MY WIFE 2 YEARS AGO. DID A PROCEDURE ON HER WITHOUT PRIOR MEDICAL INSURANCE AUTHORIZATION. THEN TRIED TO BILL MY WIFE FOR THEIR ERROR. QUACKS!!!
Visite was very good and thorough HOWEVER I really requested a summary as to exactly what I should do and "NOT DO" I cannot remember exactly all that we covered, and or when or how much, not this with this etc. I was sent the visit 1through 9 but that type of summary is great, but there a nmber of variations,
