Sharon Mitchell, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Gorman Medical, PC, in Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek, Colorado. She is dedicated to providing personalized care and prides herself on communicating openly and honestly with her patients.
Sharon earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Concorde Career College in Aurora, Colorado, and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois.
Sharon worked as a registered nurse and a clinical nursing supervisor at an outpatient infusion center for several years before returning to school for her master’s degree in nursing. She attended the University of Colorado’s Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Colorado Springs and graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Sharon was very easy to talk to and we got through everything I needed to in an efficient manner.
Sharon is fantastic! She and the team at Gorman are experts in Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. She has helped me find other specialists who understand EDS as well, to help me get the best care I've ever had. Including obgyn, physical therapy, neuro surgery, anesthesia for injections, special imaging, immunology & allergy, etc. All but 1 has been local to COS, which is great! Not only is the clinic easy to schedule with, but Sharon is so compassionate and genuinely care about patients, and new research coming out about connective tissue disorders and all the comorbidites that come along with EDS. Gorman is genuinely leading the way for EDS patients to get the care we so desperately need.
